Welcome to IMPACT DC (Improving Pediatric Asthma Care in the District of Columbia)!

IMPACT DC is a pediatric asthma surveillance, research, and intervention project located at Children’s National Medical Center and at the Children's Health Project located in the Town Hall Education, Arts, and Recreation Campus (THEARC).  Our administrative home is in the Center for Health Services and Community Research of the Children’s Research Institute

 

Our mission is three-fold:

IMPACT DC is the honored recipient of the 2006 National Leadership Award in Asthma Management from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA):  This highly competitive national honor was formally presented to IMPACT DC at a Dinner Symposium in Washington DC on May 22, 2006 as part of a EPA National Asthma Forum.


IMPACT DC is proud to be featured on www.pediatricasthma.org, a new website sponsored by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
